Early Development of Paraliminals®
Section 2
Paraliminal® Technology was an inspired idea that came to Paul Scheele in 1976. As a student of Biological Sciences, Paul had also been trained in mind development practices, initiated into the ancient tradition of Himalayan Yoga Meditation, and was certified as a clinical hypnotherapist. While attempting to create the envisioned product for effective and rapid human development, Paul also became certified as one of the first Master Practitioners of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
The first prototypes of Paraliminal® Technology were recorded in 1981 as live sessions. Back then, Paul’s business partner Mark Kinnich spoke into one microphone as Paul spoke into another microphone on a stereo cassette recorder. Each one-off program was hugely successful in securing positive and lasting changes for their clients, but the technology was not readily scaled for distribution to a global audience.
In 1988, Paul met audio engineer Brad Johnson, formerly with Paisley Park Studios (of the rock star Prince) who was beta-testing the world’s first digital-audio recording and editing software. That was the breakthrough Paul had originally envisioned.
